We also had a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. The B&B was a beautiful property. Our room was large and comfortable with windows that opened to the High Road but was still very quiet. The bathroom was also spacious and had a fabulous shower. The location was perfect for getting to Rutland Water and shops and restaurants were a short walk up the street. My friend and I stayed one night as we just wanted a weekend away near Rutland Water and The Hollies absolutely exceeded my exceptions. I would definitely recommend The Hollies to my friends and would stay again if back in the area.

The owners are so friendly, and the property is in a lovely quiet village right off the A1. It was beautifully decorated, there was fresh milk for a cup of tea and the bed was very comfortable. A real home away from home! They had everything you could need.

Everything was amazing from the staff that went above and beyond to meet needs and accommodations. Breakfast was included in the price which was a big plus. Very delicious and well made. The location is perfect as well, close to everything. Laura was over the top amazing. I rented a car and didn’t know my way around with the road signs or driving on the opposite side of the road. She was kind enough to let me look over at her daughter’s driving manual which helped alot. She went above and beyond

Lovely hosts who were very accommodating with arrival time. Snacks and refreshments provided in the room. Sat outside in the sun for breakfast, which was a nice feature. Great continental breakfast provided although there was far too much for me.

Large room very clean. Large comfortable clean bed. Large comfy sofa. I requested a room at the end of the coridoor so as not to be disturbed by other guests walking passed, and the hotel obliged. The room was very quiet and I had a great night's sleep. They provide a wall heater if it's too cold, and a fan if it's too hot. Free parking. Good Wi Fi. Good simple self serve continental breakfast included in the cheap price. Even use of the microwave any time if you wanted a microwave meal in the evening.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 'dog friendly' room and there were treats and a bed for the dog. The hotel was so quiet with no traffic noise. We had an excellent breakfast. Overall it was a really nice, peaceful place to stay and we are planning to return.
Just about everything. Debbie is an outstandingly good host. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would strongly recommend The Hollies to anyone visiting Uppingham, which is a charming small town.

Lovely quiet village location, welcoming staff, clean room with everything you would need for an overnight stay. Very good evening meal and excellent breakfast the following morning.
Its a basic if slightly dated hotel, i stay at often when passing. Its cheap, its clean, the staff are pleasant and the small continental buffet in the morning hits the spot for a bit of toast fruit and juice in the morning. Its not 5 star luxury and they don’t charge the prices of it either. Always reasonably priced.
Cheap n cheerful Clean Quiet
charm of olde worlde ex pub building, in a quaint village atmosphere. Plenty of walking/cycling/water/outdoor activities on hand. Breakfast served with a smile, plenty of cereal choice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, orange juice, plus a hot plate of bacon/eggs or mushroom omelette to follow. That personal touch ,and friendly conversation. Chris is an accomplished host. Communal lounge and open log fire was a relaxing area for reading. The value for money was excellent!
The Hollies BnB was exceptional in all ways. The location on the high street in Uppingham was quiet and convenient for all my needs. My room was fully equipped with all that I required and beautifully decorated. My bedroom and ensuite were spotless, as was the rest of the house. The breakfast was delicious and filling, fuelling me every morning ready for my busy days. My dietary concerns were taken into account and the options supplied were excellent. Debbie is a great host who made me feel welcome and comfortable in her charming home.
