The units are equipped with heating facilities. It felt comfortable straight away, from Nicola's friendly welcome to the beautiful room & bathroom. Everything was quality....furniture, fittings & products. Nothing was a bother, putting our things in her fridge, providing water bottles daily, refilling tea bags & biscuits daily. Oronsay was in a perfect position to explore not only Alnwick but the surrounding areas. Alnwick is a beautiful market town with lots to see & do.

At Duke of Wellington Inn every room is fitted with bed linen and towels. The location in a tiny village of about 100 people was perfect - just beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and dinner the evening before was exceptional.

Lovely upgraded room as it was quiet, the two ladies on duty on the evening I stayed couldn't have been more helpful. Can't comment on food as I didn't eat there but breakfast was excellent.I would definitely go back.

First of all our host of Hotspur House Liz she is terrific , a very welcoming person and nothing to much for her . Breakfast superb . Location wise fantastic , a quiet village and not far from Hexham , Newcastle or even Durham . Our Deluxe room was excellent and clean, perfect beds . A lovely view over the village square from our bedroom ,the bathroom had a view over the garden. And last but not least a big thank you to Liz for making us feel at home (and we musn't forget to mention the homemade cookies , which we really liked.... ) We would like to recommend Hotspur House to everyone

We booked a stay for one night while walking Hadrian’s Wall path. The owners were very accommodating - they were able to set up a single bed in our room to make it a room for 3. Our room had a large tub which was great for soaking after a long day of walking. Clean, comfortable. Delicious dinner was offered onsite (booked in advance) and breakfast the next morning. The owners made us a packed lunch as well for our next day’s walk. Really lovely stay.
