St Andrews
Lorimer House is set in St Andrews, 1.2 km from St Andrews East Sands Beach, 400 metres from St Andrews University, as well as 4.9 km from St Andrews Bay. It is located 600 metres from West Sands Beach and provides free WiFi plus luggage storage space. The accommodation was very clean, in a fantastic location, great for late arrival check-in. Breakfast was beautiful each morning. Scott is super friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
Fife
The bed and breakfast has a flat-screen TV. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, a microwave and a toaster and there is a private bathroom with a hair dryer and free toiletries. The bed and breakfast offers bed linen, towels and housekeeping service. Our host, Janette, was a delightful lady who was friendly, hospitable and welcoming. Our room, though small, was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The B&B was in a cute village of great heritage, and was a nice walk for dinner at the local pub. On-site parking was provided. Enjoyed our stay.

We loved that we were away from the city yet the train station into Edinburgh was a 5 min walk away and for £6.10 and a half hour trip we were in the city. Chris and Claire were exceptional hosts and couldn’t do enough to help us in every way. Our room was very clean and well supplied and although we didn’t have breakfast there the dining area was very nice and breakfast smelled delicious. Very good value for the money and the view from the deck ,where we sat and enjoyed the first evening ,was gorgeous . We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh and area. The bed was so comfortable that we slept in and the shower was wonderful too. There was also a great bathtub for those who prefer one.

The property was in a great location, quiet but close to everything. It was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bonus points for the chocolate on the bed.
Location was excellent. A quiet street but close to the harbour, facilities and bus stops. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The lounge and bedrooms are large, bright and airy, and the beds are comfy. There is a nice private courtyard that gets the sun in the morning and early afternoon.
Nice quiet location. Big room with a comfy bed and breakfast was nicely cooked to order. Just a 7 min walk into Anstruther if you fancy a few beers in the evening. Great stay
Excellent location. Quiet, comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Hostess very friendly and accommodating.
The Lodge was lovely and clean and in a great location. The views from the lodge were great, and it was nice and private. We used the sauna, which was good - you book a slot and have it to yourself, which was great. We ate in the Godfather restaurant, it was nice but a bit overpriced for what you get. The resort itself was also very clean and new looking and so so quiet, which we liked. Just a short drive to St Andrews, which is great to explore - such a beautiful place.
Great location for walking into Dunfermline. Nice quiet street. Free parking right outside. Loads of space inside. Great host and lovely wee garden.
Exceptional hotel with exceptional staff, genuinely polite and helpful (including the charming owner), beautiful private gardens, sitting areas, bars and restaurants, well appointed quiet room, all well looked after clean and pleasant. A stay to remember. We will not look elsewhere when we visit the area again.
Great location; very close to shops. Quiet, spacious room with very comfortable bed, lots of storage space, luxury bathroom and huge TV. Bathrobes, slippers, blanket and 'spinning' chairs were a nice touch.
Nice clean room, good sized bathroom. Very quiet room at rear yet great location on seafront. Excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice. Dinner was also good but ensure you book in advance as the few restaurants in Anstruther get booked up quickly.
