The accommodation is non-smoking. Everything was absolutely spectacular. It was one of the cosiest places we've ever stayed in, and it truly felt like home for the three nights that we spent there. There were so many things that were free to use whilst we were there too, which was very rare! Coco, the dog, was there to greet us too. Very cute! It was especially convenient that we had access to bicycles too, and everything in Joensuu was within a good distance to the apartment. If you like pizza, I ate the best pizza I've ever eaten in Finland at Pauliina Pizzeria, just a few minutes away. Hope to come back again! Kiitos hyvin paljon.

In quiet surroundings 10 minutes' drive from central Ilomantsi, this B&B is located in a 100-year old, renovated school building and offers a bookable sauna and air-conditioned apartments with a fully equipped kitchen. My guestroom – the former teacher's apartment in the upper floor of a beautifully renovated old village schoolhouse – was fabulously spacious. The kitchen, a great mixture of original kitchen interior and modern household appliances, was well equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The entire apartment made me immediately feel at home. My host gave me a warm welcome and told me about the history of the old building through the ages. The old school is located in a very peaceful area; and when you travel by car, Petkeljärvi National Park, Finland's Easternmost village Möhkö, and the Easternmost point of the EU, are easy to reach.
