From the minute we checked in the hosts made us feel right at home. The gentleman that checked us in gave us a run down of the city and some recommendations. The place itself was a bit different at first, as it seems like a big flat that was converted into a small boutique style hotel. This adds to the charm though, with warm decor, a kitchen with free drinks, ice cream, tea, coffee, and a dining area that can also be used to work. Several metro and bus stops are only 2-3 minutes away, and everything is flat and very walkable. There a tons of bars and eateries near by, and this place was just at the center of it all! Lastly, I just wanted to thank the staff for allowing us to check out a little later, and to hang out in the dining area as we worked and killed a few hours before taking a high speed train. Again, everyone was more than helpful and kind to us and we couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone who asks. When back in Barcelona, we will love to stay here again. Thank you Conica!

The bed and breakfast is a short walk from Girona’s pretty squares, where there is a selection of cafés, bars and restaurants. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Bed & Breakfast Bells Oficis in Girona, Spain, in October of 2021. The owner/operator, Javi could not have been more outgoing and helpful, and made us feel right at home from the very first minute we met him. He guided us in via cell phone, and showed us where to park our rental car in the underground lot across the river from our B&B, then facilitated its release when we were done with our visit. Javi was an invaluable source of information on his fascinating and unique Medieval City. Meeting and talking with him was the high point of this, our first visit, to Girona. We loved the ancient house we stayed in, which, nevertheless, still had all of the modern amenities. And from our second-story bedroom balcony we had a “million-dollar-view” of the river. Air-conditioned rooms at Circa 1905 include a blend of classic and modern features. There is a balcony and private bathroom with amenities and a hairdryer. what a cool space - so unique! the staff were so helpful, it might be two star but I felt more supported than at the 4 star place I was at in Ibiza. everything is simple but perfect. the breakfast was quite good (continental style) and I loved having the little coffee pantry available 24/7 the entrance has such a great ambiance!

Pension Ciudadela guest house is opposite Barcelona’s França Train Station and 100 metres from Ciudadela Park. It offers basic air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, and private bathroom facilities.

All rooms at the Ciudadela are heated, and there is a TV. Most rooms have a work desk and a private balcony. I like this place very near to the train station. The price per night is so worth every penny and affordable too. They clean the room everyday and changes the towel like almost everyday. The staff was great and everyday they refill the pods for coffee and some muffin so you will be energize every morning. I will definitely recommend this place. The location is also fab near the beach, near la rambla, gothic quarters, basilica and bus stations.

Pensió Bellmirall is located in the centre of Girona’s Old Town, just 100 metres from the cathedral. The simple rooms have private bathrooms, and there is a free Wi-Fi hotspot.

During the summer, breakfast is served on the terrace. In winter, it is served in the charming dining room. There is a bar service, and guests can relax in the garden. It was a very charming place in an excellent location.

At the guest house, all units include bed linen and towels. I really enjoyed the property, I was especially impressed when I was feeling ill from travelling how accommodating the staff were. In addition I may have had a flight delay and I was given comfort to come back to the hotel and figure out my next steps in the worst case. As a girl travelling alone, it meant I was safe. So thank you 🙏🏽
