The price-quality relationship is unbeatable: I've visited several hotels in the U.S., and undoubtedly, this has probably been the most memorable. We visited Ogdensburg just because we saw this interesting accommodation, and at every point, we were surprised. We thought that visiting and staying in a hotel that was previously a school was a great idea, but we found that there was much more that made this place special. As soon as we entered, we noticed the adorable Christmas decorations that were in every space of the school. Jim greeted us with a big smile and asked if we wanted him to give us a guided tour of the place or just show us the room. I couldn't resist the history, and Jim enthusiastically showed us around, adding historical facts about the school and Ogdensburg. It was truly interesting, and I don't think there are more suitable people to bring this hotel to life than them. What better than to sleep in a hotel that was a school with people so passionate about the history and the place it's located? I couldn't ask for more. The room was enormous (I think that's the first thing you can mention when you enter), and I'm not exaggerating. For this price, here you get two or three times the room size offered in other places. After all, your room is the size of a classroom! The walls are incredibly thick, so it's very unlikely that you'll hear any noise. The decoration in each room is different, and you can see and feel the dedication put into each one—all of them are adorable. The room had a lovely Christmas tree; each room had one, each with different decorations. This detail added an even warmer touch, and I regret not spending Christmas here. On the second floor, they have a well-equipped kitchen available for Sherman Inn visitors. And of course, we used it! It made our stay comfortable as if we were at home. Breakfast was delicious.

The property has river and garden views, and is 33 km from Fort Henry. Free private parking is available and the bed and breakfast also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. We loved every single minute of our stay. Breakfast was amazing, beds were very very good, loved the blankets. Design of the b&b is gorgeous and the hosts are so warm and welcoming!! Bathroom is also amazing and very clean. Will definitely be back as soon as possible!

Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a full breakfast with vegan option available. Beautifully furnished house. Our suite had bedroom and TV lounge plus bathroom. A further adjacent room had table, chairs, coffee making facilities, newspapers- shared with the other guests. Downstairs there are two very comfortable lounges for guest use. Hosts, David and Ida are very friendly and accommodating. Area is an undiscovered gem - not extensive but interesting. Brockville is beautifully located on the St Lawrence. Pleasant walks. Good parking on site.

I truly appreciated the friendly and welcoming atmosphere as well as the gorgeous interior and the many personal touches the hosts John and Stephen have added creating a unique and cosy place. I warmly recommend the Inn which is a rare delight at a really great price. I will definitely return if I have the pleasure of visiting the equally gorgeous 1000 island region again.
