Locationwise surprisingly good, 10 minutes to city center by subway. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, lots of shops and services in walking distance. Inn at St. Botolph, hotel in Somerville

This inn is in Boston's historic Back Bay, one block from the Shops at Prudential Center and subway station. A kitchenette and 42-inch flat-screen TV is offered in every suite. Inn at St.

Location was excellent, a very quite street in a very central place. The room was large and comfortable, very clean. Getting in and into the room was very convenient and easy, got all the information I needed up front. I used the small kitchen a lot, bought my own food so both the fridge and the microwave as well as the dishes were very useful. I also used the exercise room, which was small and basic, but enough for my needs. Breakfast - well, since this is a USA hotel, I can say the breakfast was great, with coffee, fruits (apples), cereal and some bread. Anywhere else in the world that won't be considered enough. but again, compared to what was offered in the conference I attended, it was better.

Irving House at Harvard, hotel in Somerville

Located 230 metres from the famed Harvard University and set in the heart of Harvard Square, this charming guesthouse offers cozy accommodations, a delicious free daily breakfast and an on-site...

I loved this charming hotel - it really felt like at home. It was spotlessly clean, it was quiet, and I slept like a stone. I was surprised about the outstanding quality of breakfast, free coffee, and cookies. It is easy to get to public transportation. And what is crucial, this place had a really good atmosphere. I wish it great success, and I recommend it to fellow travellers :)

The second-floor room with a private bathroom was quiet and peaceful. I had wonderful conversations with the hosts and a few other guests. Breakfast, while simple, served its purpose as a good start to the day. Street parking was convenient. The location was excellent, close to the train station, but be sure to consider the travel time by train.

Great location, for a walk to Harvard/MIT. Near to T metro system. Quiet street, but close to restaurants and bars. Great kitchen and my favourite breakfast cereals/yoghurts. Lots of space in the room, comfortable bed. Easy PIN entry, no time consuming check-in/out.

We had an excellent stay! The check in was smooth and the place was quaint and functional. The breakfast and daily baked goods were an excellent touch. The bathroom and shower pressure were great. A short walk (5 min or less) to the T. Some good restaurants and bars in the area but the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast and it was clear some kept coming back to the same B&B and it was clear why! Would definitely come back. Thanks!

At the time of our stay in Boston this was one of the cheapest options to stay at not far from the downtown and on quite a last minute planning (as our other hotel canceled our stay). The property is clean and quiet. It's only a walking distance away from the subway line that takes you right downtown.

The location of the private home close to the T. The price compared to hotels if you are willing to accept shared bathroom/shower. It is a charming private home. Much nicer than anonymous hotels that cost twice or three times the money.

The location/transportation combination can't be beat. It's right off Davis with its restaurants and red-line station, and it has free parking. The rooms are nice and clean. At least the upstairs room was very quiet and private. The owners are very nice and helpful, they even offered extras free of charge. Kitchen area always open to take coffee and cookies or to use fridge/micro.
