This property is on the outskirts of Furnas (10-20 minute walk to the center of town) and is in the most perfect location, in my opinion. A little bit away for the bustle of the center, and surrounded by green countryside, yet only a very short walk from everything. The property itself has a beautiful garden and the house is very clean and comfortable. It’s also very short walk from Dona Beija. The host was a very nice guy. I loved it and would stay again.

Isolated in complete tranquillity, Quinta D’Água includes a double bedroom with a wrought iron bed and wooden walls. The house is situated in a unique and remote location next to lake Furnas, which is only accessible by a private (but well paved) access road. There is no other traffic. The house is right next to a popular walking route around the lake, which you can start and end from the accommodation. It's really quiet at night, and if the weather allows it, it is a great spot for stargazing! Furnas and its surroundings are easy to reach by car, Ponta Delgada is about 45 minutes from here. The house is generally well equipped (we just missed a washing machine), but there was no hot water kettle when we arrived for making tea. When we asked the host about it, a new kettle was delivered the same afternoon, which we really appreciated.

The property was so beautiful and had a cute patio where we could sit and watch the cows grazing nearby, a garden, and a spacious room and common areas. It was close to town (Povoacao) and to the hot springs in Furnas which was great. The hosts were wonderful and great to chat with!!
