So cosy and warm in our room. Electric blanket :) big bathroom with great shower pressure and heat. Kev was very hospitable and the breakfast was sensational- eggs bacon mushies tomatoes sausage, along with pikelets, yogurt & fruit. What more could you want?! The view from the living room (and bedrooms) was incredible!

Jen provided a great breakfast: coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit. Great selection of breads and pastries and condiments. The dining room was inviting and guests had a chance for relaxed conversation. There was also a well stocked and clean communal kitchen, in addition to an outdoor bbq/dining area, where we could prepare dinner. The rooms are beautiful with an excellent view to the gardens and mountains. This is indeed an oasis after a day of touring. Jen is a very knowledgeable and interesting host - very helpful and thoughtful (only nightlight in all of our stays!) and her two boys are just great!

The house is in a quiet landscape with surrounding grassland with cows, sheep, rabbits. Aspects that really stand out include the views- the mountains behind the house, the sun rising over the ocean in front of the house, and the house itself, which is large, with an upstairs loft bedroom and very comfortable living room downstairs. Indigo has furnished and decorated it beautifully. We really enjoyed her friendly hospitality. Kaikoura is nearby with fine walks and restaurants.
