The owner was very friendly and the apartment very large. The house is located in a quiet location. We were particularly surprised by the sociable breakfast, which we had not expected. Although it was not a buffet, it was more than we could eat and the choice was enormous. There was also fresh fruit, which is no longer the standard even in larger houses and hotels. The location in a large separate room above in a horse riding hall is very special. You have a wonderful vieuw over the fields seeing the horses grasing. The place is silent and clean and if you want you are for yourself. A hiking way through the open space and the water is nearby. You can canou or- you can take a riding lesson by the very friendly and helpfully owner and teacher. By car Groningen is easy to reach. So you are deep in nature and close to the city. Be prepared that the nice bathroom is to reach going to an other barn.

Great location, in the city centre, but in a quite part, so even on Koenigsdag it was quiet. Great rooms, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Very good breakfast! We felt very welcome (even) with a two-year-old. :-)

A very nice place to stay while in Groningen- great location by the lake, so you have beautiful views and peacefulness. Can't walk to the city center though - it's a bit far, but there is a bus stop nearby. You can also rent a bike at the hotel (or a boat!). Spacious free parking just at the front. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms although might give you a gloomy impression at first due to dark interior design. Very quiet. Worth recommending! :)

great location easy walking distance from train station and in a quiet area of the city center, comfortable beds. pillows not so comfortable but I learned later one could request for pillows of your choice. i very much liked the fact that one could have as much tea and coffee of your choice in the lobby and bring it up to your room. the staff / front desk were warm and friendly.
