A beautiful setting in the country just minutes by bike to the cute village of Hooghalen. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great, the bed was very comfortable. The little extra touches were appreciated.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Perfect check-in and check-out procedure, very comfortable beds and clean facilities. I liked that the host left amenities for us to use, the towels were lovely and big and a great shower with great water pressure. There was also a chromecast available, loved that! Quiet part of the city, easily accessible, overall great. Fun little guest book to write in. Good communication with host. Would recommend staying here.
Very helpful staff, large comfortable room and wet room. Excellent breakfast and meals served in their adjacent restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and conveniently close to all facilities, including railway station, shops, market, an excellent museum and the very reasonably priced town hall underground car park. An excellent centre for visiting the Drenthe Moor megalithic remains.
The place is located in the historical center of Assen. It's close to all the restaurants but it's still very quiet and the rooms are quite spacious. The train station is less than 10 minutes away on foot.
Breakfast is brought to the room in a trolley and you can enjoy it at your own pace.
The best part was the kindness of the hosts, they were so welcoming and helpful. They have that humanity and empathy that you don't really see in the Randstad nowadays.
