Excellent location. Only a 5 minute walk to the Rainforest Discovery Centre and a 20 minute walk to the Orangutan and Sun Bear Sanctuaries (they are across the road from one another)
Food is served at the bnb and there is a nice restaurant just 2 minutes down the road.
The staff were also extremely helpful and friendly during our stay.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great little home from home. The check in procedure and instructions were clear and I was able to book this apartment very last minute when my booked accommodation wasn't fit for purpose.
Super bonus was the washing machine. Buying a small bag of detergent was cheaper than paying for laundry at another place. The building was quiet and peaceful. Great place to have a break if you are travelling.
Easy check in and out, near to Mydin, very spacious (all 3 rooms are master rooms), extra matress are provided, private parking, & quiet neighbourhood. And price is way cheaper than others, & friendly owner. Perfect score 👌
Lovely decorated clean apartment in a new built flat with beautiful view on the ocean. Kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking. There is even a washing machine. The manager Connie is very friendly & helpful, fast & easy communication.
The location is very quiet and peaceful on the top of the hill surrounded by forest, there is a little supermarket in walking distance. For anything else you would need your own vehicle or a short cheap Grab ride into town.
What an excellent boutique hotel. Great location on the harbour but all noise stops outside at 10 and this was a weekend. Very unexpected. Super comfy clean modern room. Breakfast really was spectacular, best in the whole of my far east tour
Safe and secure location in a modern sprawling gated community. The view from our 13th floor windows was impressive. The apartment is adequate for a short stay, but lacks charm or comfort.
Don’t be tempted to think the location is walking distance from Sandakan city centre though - it isn’t. You will need to use Grab to get to and from anywhere (with the possible exception of the English Teahouse). Grab cars are cheap, so the cost isn’t an issue, but it adds a layer to anything you might want to do.
Perfect for the price. Great location, clean, cheap, right next to the night market and Karaoke next door. 100% recommend for all the travellers out there.
AeCotel was fantastic. Great location, comfortable room (with seaview) and super, super helpful staff and management. Staff are positive, proactive and go out of their way to make things easy. AeCotel is not a super luxury hotel but price/value is fantastic in providing the basics of a clean comfortable place to stay in Sandakan.
Great location- by waterfront and in the city center. Close to food stands, supermarkets and a shopping mall. The room we stayed is air-conditioned and sea view through window.
Lovely hotel in a great location on the promenade. Efforts are being made to develop it into a themed boutique hotel. Great staff who are willing to help
