My friend and I had the most amazing time at Stay house Arai. Our room was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Mariko was an incredibly nice host, gave us a lot of information on how to get around Nikko and great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. She also surprised us with an amazing breakfast and some super cute little charms and origami as gifts. The only downside: we ended up regretting only staying for two nights! Would definitely book again.

Mariko (Owner) is the most attentive and kind-hearted host I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. From the moment we arrived, she was very welcoming and gave us a huge amount of information about the area and the local amenities.. The room itself was spacious and comfortable with a pleasant view. Location was fantastic, within walking distance of all attractions, equally a bus is nearby if preferred. The highlight was the breakfast Mariko made us both days. It was absolutely delicious and entirely fresh, I won't share what it was in case it spoils the surprise. It is our first visit to Japan, and this is by far one of the most treasured experiences we have had here. Highly highly recommended.

Everything about the property was excellent. I am out of words for the hospitality of the host Izumi San, who came to pick us up in the station. Not only that, he picked us up many times from the nearby restaurants and also dropped us back to the station after our check out. An impression which will last long and we will definitely plan to stay here again. About the rooms, they were warm and cozy and the beds were very comfortable. The room comes with a Balcony and the view from the balcony is extraordinary. There is a stream of water flowing right beside the property which is basically the view from the balcony and if you are lucky enough, you can watch deers drinking water right from your balcony.

Staying at Sanga Nikko was definitely the highlight of our stay in Japan. The house is beautifully decorated, everything is clean and comfortable. Our host, Yoshi, is probably one of the kindest person we have ever met. He really did his best to make our stay perfect...between the welcoming fruits and cookies, the planning of our day trip to chuzenji, the reservation of the japanese restaurant...and the really enjoyable conversations about japanese culture and customs... We really had a fantastic time at Sanga Nikko ! We will definitely come back and send our friends there to stay !! Thank you for everything Yoshi !! If I could, I would give a 12/10 !!
