Satoshi and Elizabeth are super nice! I love chatting with them and I am so thankful for all they did and prepared🥰 Food is awesome especially the dinner! Highly recommended to reserve their dinner if staying! Elizabeth kept saying their house is not kids friendly but actually the warm and cozy wooden furniture are all I want! Kids enjoyed sitting at the dinning and played😍

We came to Nikko to explore the nature and we were lucky enough to get just that. The place is near the lake and the bus station, the room was spacious and had everything you'd need. The true value however is in the host Takeru who really helped us a lot with recommendations of what to see and do in the vicinity.

This was my favourite place to stay in Japan. Izumi is an exceptional host, epitomising omotenashi - he made us feel completely at home in his lovely B&B. His place is so peaceful... looking out into nature with the sound of the stream running past outside; the rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Izumi was very helpful, picking us up from the train station, dropping us off in town for dinner, and recommending places to go and things to do... and the breakfast he cooked was delicious. I do hope we can visit again some day!

Yoshi is a wonderful host, very respectful and humble too! Upon checking in, it brought we smiled when he asked if we required 'quick' check in (5 min), minimal explanation n introduction from him, or 15-20 min where he would share his list of restaurants and to visit locations. Though bathrooms are not attached to bedrooms, it was very clean, and comfortable. It also allowed us to meet and greet our other housemates too!

It was a wonderful experience, coming to Mr. Hiro's house. The accommodation was clean, beautiful, traditional, the conversation with the owner was very pleasant. I slept wonderfully there. I will always return to this place in my thoughts. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. And as a bonus, there is excellent and tasty drinking water. If you are thinking about where to stay in Japan, this is the right choice. Just don't make the same mistake I did. We were only for one night. We have to come back here for at least 3 nights.
