The hosts were the most accommodating people I’ve ever encountered. They were extremely lovely and helpful with everything, often driving us places if we missed the bus. Accommodation was right by the ski slope too. Will definitely visit again, great price, would recommend.

Breakfast was very tasty, standard bread, eggs, ham, jam, and our host was gracious and inviting!
Awesome baths connected to each shower that were available in the evening and fantastic after a day on the slopes - in addition, the drying room attached to the garage that ran for a certain time period each night is a great idea to allow skiers/boarders to dry their gear dry overnight.

Masa and his wife made our stay feel like a home away from home. Friendly and smiling service at all times. Also Masa is an ex-michelin star chef. He will serve the best sushi/ramen you'll have in a long time at very affordable prices. Approx $40 for the best dinner we had on our 6 week trip through Japan. Highly recommend. Good dry room and laundry services as well made our stay and incredibly enjoyable one. The walk up/down the hill into down is a bit of a slog but that's only once a day so it's worth it for the awesome price that is offered per night.

The decor is dated but that for me was all pet of the great charme of this hotel. The view from the admitted small Onsen is a nice touch and the breakfast was very nice Japan style Western breakfast. That is generally true of the hotel. The combination of air heater for warming the room quickly and heat blanket to warm just the bed without drying out the air is a clever idea.

Love this place , older style japanese inn. So many cool features . Lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Beautiful Onsen , amazing Japanese breakfast ( which they make small changes to each day of you stay longer ). Great hosts , loads of interesting objects and art. They also have some local products for sale. Its super quiet space , very relaxing. One of my favourite spots ive stayed in japan . Theres also a handful of good restaurants within minutes -
walking .
This is a small ryokan with ensuite toilets in every room run by a friendly and obliging elderly couple in great location 1km from Alpenblick skifield and 400m from Alpenblick spa with its famous black water pools and great Japanese restaurant. There is not a shared bathroom in the western sense, but a simple but authentic private onsen in house. The hot water and teabags and snacks in the corridor were much appreciated as was the hot drink and biscuits at reception on returning from skiing .
The Onsen on site was so amazing after a day of skiing at one of the Myoko resorts, the massage chair was a nice bonus. The private Onsen you’re able to book for 1 hour was such a luxury!
They offer a free shuttle to and from various resorts in Myoko which made things very easy.
The staff was so lovely and even went above and beyond to send me a very sentimental piece of jewelry to my next hotel in Tokyo after I left it there. Would recommend to any of my friends who will visit Myoko.
Jen and Pete went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. As soon as we arrived to the hotel, Pete gave us a detailed tour of all the facilities and recommendations on what to do around the town. The private onsen was amazing and really clean. In fact the hotel was super clean and our room was a great size as well! Loved how breaky was included and the there was a great selection of food too. Lastly, the hotel is in a great location- walking distance to the main strip of restaurants and convenience store.
Great location, right in the middle of town. The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. Good facilities including a private onsen for washing and relaxing.
Nathan and akiko are great hosts. Excellent breakfasts and comfortable beds . Nathan provides pick up and drop off services which helps a lot when you don't have a vehicle.
Everything is great - comfortable large tatami rooms with great view, great onsen, excellent breakfast (and dinner if you want to eat in), nice lounge areas and wonderful staff. Mieko and the team are so welcoming and she will sort out all your arrangements so efficiently and graciously. The place is really lovely with lots of nice little touches, super clean and comfortable and a great location.
Great location close to ski fields and great dining options also a short walk to Onsen and tourist centre. The lodge has a warm cosy feel on a nice quiet street.
