Lovely stay in Aizuwakamatsu. The accomodation is a tiny guesthouse with only two double rooms upstairs, a nice clean and modern shower and a toilet downstairs. It looks like a traditional Japanese house but completly reformed and organized in a Scandinavian minimalist style. I loved the room. We even had a curling iron in the room. Everything was clean and comfy. The owners were super flexible, as I had initially booked for one person, and a friend joined me, and there was no trouble in paying the additional fee. The check in is remote and worked perfectly. It is located in walking distance of two shopping streets and the castle, and a short bus ride away from the station. I only regret not staying a few more nights.

Beautiful ski lodge, the wood workshop made it even more charming. The room was clean and comfortable and simple but very cozy. They had everything you need and on top of that an onsen style bath. The host was very kind and generous and I left with a big smile! I wished I could stay longer!

The room spacious with all necessary amenities. There is private hot bath inside the room, very clean and nicely equipped. The restaurant is right next to the hotel with a private access for hotel guests. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Both dinner and breakfast are very carefully prepared and delicious! Last but not least, the hotel is really close to the entering point and the visitor center of Bishamonuma Pond. The owner, Suzuki-san and his wife were very kind and friendly. We arrive at their hotel late and did not reserve dinner. Sadly all the restaurants in the area were closed. Suzuki-san was so kind he gave me and my family each a small dinner of rice with meat and veg to eat, free of charge. He and his wife prepared a very delicious and healthy breakfast for all of us in the morning. His hotel is like a beautiful country home. Very quiet and relaxing.
Very friendly owners who serve fantastic breakfast and dinner (dinner must be pre-ordered) in a cozy place. The accommodation is a 5-10 minutes walk away from the bus station and from the only convenience store in the village. The rooms are basic but cheap. Ideal choice for a planned hike of Mount Bandai.
