Lovely B&B. There is just one room, so no other guests. It was very quiet and relaxing. I beleive the owners do live there as well, but in a seperate part. The room is big, for Japanese standards, and has everything you'll need. The location is remote, in a small village. There's a great Burger & Café in the center. You cannot miss it when you drive up there. There was a simple breakfast included: toast, fried egg, sausage, bit of fruit and coffee or tea. You can park in front of the room.
Featuring the Keith Haring Collection Museum, natural hot spring baths and a tennis court, Lodge Atelier offers comfortable Western and Japanese-style rooms at its Lodge Atelier.

There is everything to like here. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The meals in the restaurant next door (same complex) were wonderful. The slow cooked beef was the best steak dish I have had in Japan. The staff here were also professional and friendly. English was no problem. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back!

To be honest, there wasn't much to like. You can't beat being outside in the Yamanshi air and having a view of fields and mountains in the distance, but the place itself wasn't great.

The host had little English, but was incredibly helpful. He gave us a ride to the hot springs, and also gave us a ride to the start of hike the next day. He went out of his way to try and be helpful. The room was oddly decorated but actually really nice - much better than the pictures looked.
Plus he had a super cool car and snapback look !!

Lovely hotel off the beaten path. It is an amazing place if you want to get out of a city and are looking for a cozy, quaint place to rest. The owners are incredibly kind and lovely. They greeted us, recommended places to eat, helped with travel plans, and had a lovely conversation with us over breakfast.
This hotel was wonderful. 10/10, can highly recommend.

Lodge Atelier is conveniently located across the road from the Keith Haring Museum. Their rate is a great deal. We were especially impressed by the property's cleanliness and their kind and responsive staff. We enjoyed hanging out in the cozy lounge and selecting records from their impressive collection of jazz records. There are two private onsen bathing areas accessible to guests 5am to midnight. This place is a gem, a great place to relax and recharge.
Great location just off the highway.
Cosy and nice atmosphere.
Friendly staff.
Collection of jazz records including Beatles records with turntable to play them. Big speakers in lounge!
Great restaurant next door.
Very clean, simple designed room, comfy blankets, free water/hot water(you can make tea or coffee) and one of beautiful & typical scenery of Kiyosato. We were lucky that all the guests were polite and quiet at night. We enjoyed breakfast outside and talking with lovely owner.
Very scenic area, attentive and friendly host - they were very kind, and the area around the Bed and Breakfast was peaceful! A good getaway sort of place.
The owner is very nice and the meals were excellent! It's a quiet and beautiful environment. There's a private bathroom. The bed was warm (electric blanket) and comfortable.
