Ukigumo Takachiho B&B offers luggage storage service and a shared lounge where guests can relax and enjoy comics, novels and free drinks including coffee, tea and green tea.

The owner of this guesthouse is very friendly and helpful. We booked the room with private bathroom, which was brand new and the shower had a window looking out to the mountains! The room was a decent size and on the second floor. We slept comfortably on the futons and tatami mat. When you wake up, you get greeted by beautiful scenery outside. There is breakfast available, included in the price, containing of coffee, toast, jam and boiled eggs. The location is great - it's quiet and yet in walking distance to the gorge and town centre to eat out. A few convenience stores nearby. There is a shared lounge with water, coffee, tea, books etc. Very good value for money, would definitely stay here again!

The place was super great, it’s a shame we only stayed for a night. The fireplace really helped in keeping the room warm all night long. The staff was very helpful and accommodating (thanks for the eggs! ☺️). Recommended for those who’s looking for a peaceful, quiet and warm place to stay.
