The host is one of the most welcoming person we have met during our trip in Japan. She came to pick us up later than planned at Koyasan, according to our request. She came with her granddaughter and was very curious and open-minded. She prepared us delicious meals (for the dinner and for the breakfast), she is an excellent cook! She speaks a bit English, sufficiently to communicate and share about life and the Japanese culture. We had a wonderful stay at her place!

Amazing facilities, great location. It was very peaceful down a side street right alongside the river. A definite highlight was the owner operator who went above and beyond for us to help and provide information on the best spots for food and drink in the local area. one of the best experiences you can have when traveling japan, especially if you plan visiting Nora and would like to get to know the countryside. run by an amazing and warm-hearted couple. you can feel their heart and love for details/authenticity. I strongly recommend to order the japanese dinner and breakfast. after a long flight, I had the best sleep since a long time. hope I come back some day with by gf (thanks again for the gift!) and/or brother/sister.

We were picked up at Hashimoto station. Quick 30 min drive through beautiful nature. Breakfast and dinner were more than excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Nicest hosts. We felt so welcome. I liked everything. Tommy and his wife were very friendly he showed us the places to visit on a map and specific times when events happen, he told us a place to eat at night as most restaurants only open during the day, There cafe next door is well worth visiting it's a lovely little cafe with great food and drinks, well worth staying here instead of staying in the temples far better value for your money.

Above and beyond any expectations we had: if you want to travelling on a budget but still want to stay in the beautiful Koyasan, Hachi Hachi is the place for you.
