Beautiful minimalist room. Very chic and comfortable. Paolo, the host, could not have been more helpful in suggesting parking, restaurants, a guide. His suggestions were all excellent. The rooms are not in the Sassi, but there are a short walk from there. Perfectly located. (If you choose to book a room in the Sassi, good luck finding it and getting your bags down there.) Finally, if you are reading this, you are at least thinking about visiting Matera. Don’t think any longer. Just go. The city is fascinating and beautiful in a very interesting way.
