As a trained an experienced hotel and restaurant manager in the upper and luxury services I can assure Deirdre, our host, has a more profound hospitality sense than many fellow hoteliers, offering a more welcoming and full service experience that some 5 and 5 GL hotels. It was, out of four different similar accommodations we profit from in Ireland, the very best and a surprise if valuing quality vs price.

The property was superbly located and was really comfortable. The gardens were very beautiful. Every little detail had been thought through and there were so many really lovely touches. We stayed for one night but would happily have stayed longer. It was very quiet with superb views. Thoroughly recommend that you visit!

The lodge was fantastic self contained units very private and fantastic views. Deirdre the owner was very helpful and was really great in helping us with everything we needed. The level of detail and hospitality we experienced was at another level! We had a wonderful stay and some great weather and we will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. This has to be the best place we have stayed in and we are already recommending it to friends and family.

Such a peaceful setting, beautiful mature trees. Bedrooms generous and the whole house spotlessly clean. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful bar area with snooker table, chess, TV, honesty bar and outside seating and patio - all the ingredients for a lovely evening. Cannaway is incredibly good value for money, four star luxury at a steal.
