Located on the shores of Lough Muckno, just 10 minutes’s walk from Castleblayney, White Hill Country House features B&B and self-catering accommodation, 1.6 km from Concra Wood Golf & County Club.

Mary, Gerard and Greg were top people. Mary even demonstrated an impromptu little Irish jig for us. 🙃All of them went out of their way to make our stay memorable. As the first BnB of our trip to Ireland they have set a very high standard

Killyliss Country House B&B, hotel in Carrickmacross

The 4-star Killyliss Country House B&B is surrounded by countryside and lakes. It is less than 20 minutes' drive from both Cavan and Monaghan and it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking.

I liked everything about Killyliss, it's peaceful rural location, its well organised facilities, its homely comfort, its generous breakfast and kitchen arrangements, and above all the welcoming and sensitively friendly presence of the owner and hostess. I could not have stayed in a better base for my all too brief visit to Co. Monaghan.

Loved my stay. I liked the fact the room was seperate to the main house so I could come and go without worrying about disturbing anyone. I was able to park on the driveway right next to the outhouse. Owner was very kind and allowed me to check in a little early so I could drop my bags off and continue my day. Owners were friendly and approachable. The room had everything I needed, beautiful modern en suite and kitchenette. Tv. Comfortable bed etc very pleasant stay. Good location for the town but lovely and quiet.

Friendly host who happily let us check in later than the usual time. Lovely self contained studio in a quiet area and just a short walk from town. The studio was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast food was provided, milk, cereal, bread , marmalade and tea and coffee. Because you do your own breakfast, it was perfect for us because we wanted to make an early start the next morning, so we could have it as early as we wanted. Really happy with our stay here.

Breakfast very good , traditional irish .Staff very friendly .Good sized bedrooms, iron and ironing board in room. Rooms very quiet. No objections raised when my party produced a PIPER who played Danny Boy in my honour in the public bar/loungeat 11 pm . The Shirley commands a strong presence within the local area, especially since the Nuremore hotel and spa has closed
