The most beautiful people i ever stayed with And beautiful room with an amazing atmosphere Quite and peaceful,the bed so comfortable the bathroom with really nice decorations and good shower and it was super clean and well decorated.To get to this bungalow really easy access and you can get something good in super market (indomaret)just about 5 minute away with scooter, The view of the ricefield and the green surrounding is just what I looking for. They organize my jungle trekking with the best guide (jipur,aji and bagus)for 3 days 2 night Which is so great and fun So much knowledge of the jungle,animals and medical plants. Nothing not to like - 15 to 20 minute trail hike outside of the town, making it the most remote guesthouse. Stayed three-nights in the family orangutan suite (hot water) with outdoor shower/toilet that allowed me to look for monkeys while showering - yippee! Hammock out front for reading and just soaking it all in. One night in the Gecko, a smaller room, but also nice (cold water). Risky, Arif, Julie, and Mary were all incredible and really look after their guests - they also offer tours. They treat you as a friend and it is sincere. Family-style dinners. Clean. Comfortable. Lovely breakfasts for a great price. Whitewater rafting an option - a wonderfully thrilling option when going solo - though a touch of fun danger. Taking a right just outside offers a few kilometer hike along the river that taps your inner-Indiana Jones. Saw Thomas Leaf monkeys five minutes from the guesthouse. Macaques everywhere - some on my balcony. Hornbill watched over breakfast. Gibbons heard over the same meal. Orangutan mom and child just down the river on the other side - saw after finishing a two-day trek. A viper and its recently finished meal right around the way.

The stay at EcoTravel cottages was an amazing experience. From the start of our communications with the cottages until the final goodbyes the staff went above and beyond to make our trip enjoyable and comfortable. The room was spacious, neat and clean with all the amenities. The bed was comfortable and came with amazing views of the river. Breakfast was more a generous serving of fresh fruits and catered to everyone's wants and needs. They even stay with you at breakfast to ensure the monkey's don't partake at the breakfast or harass you while enjoying your meal. They staff provided their own tours of the local jungle which was such an amazing experience. They were knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and ensured we were well looked after for the duration of the 7 hour hike. We saw 7 orangutangs on our journey and many other species of wildlife. They ensure that the hike is done ethically and that their is no disturbance to the local wildlife while on the journey, I would recommend if you can to take their advice on board about wearing long pants and take insect repellent. We done the hike in sneakers which is doable but can become very slippery at times so if possible i would recommend shoes with grip or shoes suited to hiking. We can't express our gratitude to the staff who truly made our trip an amazing and memorable experience.

We booked 3 different trips to jungle here which we visited with these amazing people. Nice view, comfortable room next to the river at the end of Bukit Lawang where's jungle start .. great communication before our arrival, they care about us all the time.
