The Moorings location is on the seafront, some 15 to 20 minutes walk to the centre although there are numerous bus's running into town. Personally, I enjoyed the walk. My room was on the ground floor next to the bright little dining room. Plenty of choice for breakfast and Emma, the host, was very friendly and made the stay like a home from home. There was also a handy small store for my bicycle.
A ride or walk to the end of the longest pleasure pier in the country is a must when visiting Southend!

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Welcoming hosts with a clean and comfortable studio in a great location! This was such a bargain, and having the kitchenette in the room was really helpful. Sitting on the balcony in the sunshine you could imagine you were somewhere far more exotic now that the greenery has grown up more than in some of the photos, it is bliss and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in Southend. The ability to park also a bonus for anyone who isn't taking a train/coach
Lovely clean modern property, great location for our bank holiday break. Walking distance to the shops and beach. Was able to park on the drive the whole weekend. Self check in, great communication from owners. Would defo recommend. Just like the pictures!
Sweet bedsit apartment with large bathroom and shower. Plenty of hot water. Comfy bed. Great location, tucked away, with private balcony overlooking lush green gardens. A secret retreat for Southend visits. Off road parking available.

Clean and lovely apartment. Elena (the landlord) was so nice and helpful. I booked a one night stay for my parents who aren't as light on their feet as they were. The main bedroom is amazing, but they slept on the great sofabed downstairs, which they said was extremely comfortable. They loved the kitchen and it was quiet at night. 1 minute walk to the station. 3-5 minute walk to Hamlin Court Road which is where all the shops and restaurants are. Top marks. 👍
