Beautifully decorated with attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. Sarah, Tim and Mabel the dog were perfect hosts.

It is a charming hotel in a great location. My room was spacious and clean with a lovely balcony overlooking the garden and magnificent trees! The bed was really comfortable and it was very quiet! I had a really good meal in the restaurant and the staff were all very happy and helpful.

All the staff we met were great, from reception, the bar & the restaurant where we had breakfast & dinner. It was quite quiet on the Tuesday night we stayed. Service was fast & all the food we had was great. Faded grandeur would be a good description. Charming.
