A perfect cosy cottage. Ideal for our 2 night stay. Very well equipped and clean. A comfortable bed and powerful shower. Quiet with a private parking space in the courtyard, near a pretty garden. Within easy walking distance of shops, pubs and places to eat. We would definitely recommend Carpenter's Cottage to others.

Great location, plenty of free parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the lodges in the car park, nice and quiet and very warm even though it was freezing outside. Decent self service buffet breakfast. Great value for money.

Breakfast was great - placed in a cooler bag outside the room to collect anytime, from early morning. Great selection! Great location, just outside of York (20 mins). Great hosts, very welcoming. Room size, very generous and all you need in the room! Fabulous - we will be staying again and recommending to our friends :)

Buzzing atmosphere in the bar, extremely nice room (in the refurbished part), easy check in, good pub meal, quiet night and excellent breakfast. Very helpful when we phoned a couple of times before staying to get local taxi firm and to book for evening meal.

We had a lovely short stay at the cottage in Pocklington. We were going to the Yorkshire Balloon Fiesta at Castle Howard, so this was an ideal base. The house was lovely and quiet. Very close to some great amenities. We wish we could have stayed longer. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Tv with great selection of channels, comfy sofa, extra comfy beds, 2 amazing powerful showers. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had a great private area at the back.
