Wonderful accommodation. Very comfortable with excellent views. The breakfasts were really good. I loved my daily fresh fruit salad. The hosts also have lots of local information, and we enjoyed our chats. Our fourth visit to Orkney and this has been the best accommodation by far.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Loved the place. Great location, very quiet, clean, comfortable. Host was very friendly, nothing was any trouble to him but respected your privacy.
Communal cooking and dining area was fab.
Great location - quiet and peaceful with lovely views from the deck. It was clean and well appointed. The tub in the bathroom was a bonus. Good communication with the hosts.
Everything we needed for our trip to Orkney. A good-sized room with a private bathroom, ample off-stteet parking and a shared kitchen in case you want to cook yourself.
A ten minute walk to Kirkwall and the ferry pier across a nice park and just around the corner from the major supermarkets.
John was a great host and gave us some very helpful tips before our trip including pre-booking restaurant weeks before you arrive and tickets to Skara Brae and other historical sites.
Lovely responsive host. Great location in centre of Kirkwall. Locksafe for front door. Quiet. I stayed in January. Central heating in living room works well, and bathroom is warm too with a good, but compact size shower.
It is a great location , just off one of the main shopping streets . Very handy to access shops and quiet to stay in . Parking was further up the road but no time restrictions . We were able to drop off and load briefly right outside .
Fantastic little property. Well laid out . Matching plates and cups. The kitchen was well equipped. In a great location. Ferry port close by if you needed it. Very quiet with ample parking Two pubs within minutes walk. Two Local shops where you can get everything you need.
The washing machine was really useful. Plenty of hot water.
Perfect for our three night stay.
Would definitely recommend and we would stay there again.
