We were delighted by the interaction with Sam and the locals, the football was on and we chatted to everyone and were treated as part of the gang, they also gave us tips on where to go. Great location for our stop over on the way to Scotland, but perfectly placed for a trip further into The Lakes. The room was wonderful, couldn't have asked for more, I was concerned on arrival that it was next to the road, but the walls are so thick we didn't hear it at all. We ate here too and the food was incredibly tasty.

The hotel room was very comfortable and quiet with a small but well appointed shower room. Although the hotel is located on a road there is little noise and our sleep was not affected. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
