A recently renovated bed and breakfast in Matlock Bank and within 15 km of Chatsworth House, Heathbank House B&B has a garden, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. The property features mountain views and is 36 km from Buxton Opera House and 39 km from Alton Towers. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace.

My wife and I often go away for a couple of days in an inexpensive guest house because we need only a bed and a shower because we're never there. Michael has raised the bar with regards to what we should expect for our money. A warm and gregarious host who is genuinely invested in the quality of your stay. It's the little touches; chocolates on the bed, doughnuts in the jar and prosecco in the mini-fridge. Ideally placed between Matlock and Matlock Bath, I can't recommend Heathbank House highly enough.

As previous guests have said, the house is in a lovely quiet location and the history abounds wherever you look in this wonderful old building. It’s very clean and we loved the modern touches that go well with the old. Alison is a wonderful lady who was always available and she would ask us if we needed help with anything. Her knowledge of the area and the house is amazing and she is only too happy to share this with you. Lots for breakfast after a great nights sleep, if we’re in the area again would definitely stay here.
