Riseden Bed and Breakfast, hotel in Maidstone

Located in Maidstone and only 12 km from Leeds Castle, Riseden Bed and Breakfast provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at this delightful Riseden Bed & Breakfast, and words alone can hardly do justice to the magical experience it offers. From the moment I arrived, I felt enveloped in warmth and charm, making this a stay I will never forget. The room I stayed in was not just spotless and comfortable, but also thoughtfully decorated with a personal touch. The plush bedding and locally made toiletries added to the charm of the room, making it a truly cosy and inviting space. The real highlight, though, is the hospitality. The hosts, Christine and Andy, go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, with an attention to detail that sets this B&B apart. From the personalised welcome note to the helpful tips about local attractions and pubs, their warmth is felt in every interaction. They genuinely care about your stay and create an atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. And then there's the breakfast—oh, the breakfast! It was a feast for the senses. I was greeted with the heavenly aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade baked goods. The menu was a delightful mix of locally sourced ingredients, including farm-fresh eggs, that were almost too beautiful to eat. It felt like dining at a gourmet restaurant, yet with all the cosiness of home. The outdoor spaces were equally enchanting. Whether relaxing in a garden nook with a good book or sipping wine on the patio, every corner of this property exudes a sense of peace and relaxation that is hard to find elsewhere. It's clear that every inch of this B&B has been designed with love and care. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or a family escape, the Riseden Bed & Breakfast has something for everyone. Its stunning location, luxurious accommodations, and exceptional hospitality make it an unforgettable destination. I'm already planning my next visit to enjoy the variety of activities this B&B has to offer!

Stone Court House, hotel in Maidstone

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Stone Court House features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

The Renaissance aesthetic of the interior was amazing! A suit of armour near the giant stone fireplace set the mood. The marble tiles of the bathroom were beautiful and one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff were friendly and helpful and I respect their dedication to fixing up a listed building as they have.

There was no breakfast. I booked double room, but got only single room as the owner said there is a mix up. He provided a single room, fridge, shower room , kitchen all ok. The place is too far from my work place, too expensive to reach there from my work place, online it showed only 1.7 miles but it is too expensive by taxi.

The wooden chalets were comfortable and clean, it was very quaint to have your own private space away from the restaurant and bar, the winding pathways and lamps were lovely. The bar / restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere, the food was great too. The staff were very friendly and made us and our two Golden Retrievers very welcome offering water and dog biscuits. We only stayed one night, but it was very enjoyable.

Large family room. Very good breakfast. Room service. Interesting large hotel that had private parties and functions taking place, the wing we stayed in appears to be used for jury service, but was really quiet and private (good with little kids). Health area with swimming pool.

All online pre-booking of room, dinner in dog-friendly area, breakfast time etc worked well. Friendly staff. Superb dinner - a cut above the typical country pub fare. Excellent breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Quiet, dog-friendly. Nice to have bath after long day walking North Down's Way (5 minutes off route).

The inside was definitely belied by the outside, way beyond expectations. Very spacious with private spaces for more quiet time, comfy chairs and a neat little fire place. The room was really clean and had an upper-class type of feel to it.
