The room is amazingly comfortable, with a small fridge containing fresh milk. The beds were very comfortable indeed and every, shower was excellent and everything was spotlessly clean. The owner is doing a superb job of upgrading her accommodation.
Near the beautiful River Eden, in the ancient town of Appleby in Westmorland, this traditional 17th century coaching inn offers free Wi-Fi and en suite rooms.

The room was very adequate for a one night stay. Location - just off the M6 - was convenient.

Very welcoming staff , went out of their way to help
The atmosphere was very friendly and the hostel quirky but clean and comfortable.
Great location for the C 2 C walk
Felt safe and slept well as it was quiet even though a lot of people were staying.
A lovely little cottage on the outskirts of town, yet with in easy walking distance of the main town close enough to the shops, pubs and restaurants yet far enough away so it was lovely and quiet and relaxing. There is a lovely little courtyard area with table and chairs and free private parking was also provided.
Great welcome package of bread, flapjacks, milk, eggs, butter & jam.
Really great size - loads of seats and so much to look at in terms of antiques. A truly unique place. Great hosts throughout the stay.
Really enjoyed our stay, great location too.
This is a really lovely place to stay run by excellent hosts. It is very peaceful and we slept really well. It is much bigger than you think with two big bedrooms with private bathrooms. Lots of pipping hot water! There is a really nice lounge to sit in the evenings. Great to sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet morning or night. Lots of lovely walking on the doorstep with easy access to the busier national parks. A really lovely place to stay.
So lovely staying with Angela at her guest house on a working farm. It’s nothing fancy but it’s a charming open quiet space with everything you need inc fridge space for you to use plus help-yourself teas and loo roll as the rooms are not serviced. The breakfast is excellent and if you need any tweaks to it, let Angela know a day before (as we chose to so food is not wasted) and you get exactly what you actually want.
Angela is a fantastic host she made us feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything and she was very helpful with lots of local information. The room was clean, nice and cosy. there was everything we needed with lots of different teas and coffee available. Breakfast was superb, the best that I have ever had at a B and B, the first time I'd been able to have all the components of a full English breakfast gluten free. A great location with lots of walks on the doorstep. We will definitely be visiting again.
