Our second visit within a week as we were walking the circular Borders Abbeys Way. Allerton House was our first and last night. We had the same room - Castle- as on the first visit some 6 nights previously. It was excellent and the en suite bath was much appreciated!

Lovely hotel. Located in beautiful village, pub part clearly well supported by the locals. Had an exceptional room with lovely bathroom, ate in the bar, lovely food, staff super friendly and very open to requests to mix and match dishes. Excellent breakfast. Booked via B.com, staff worked really hard to change our room as a friend joined me and didnt want a double bed. Owner and staff really positive and work hard to look after customers, brilliant stay, best room of the week and we had some very good ones elsewhere.

Everything!!! It was perfect and even more charming than the photographs suggested. Arrived to a lovely welcome pack of milk, cheese, eggs, shortbread, basket of apples and oatcakes !! There were also beautifully arranged fresh flowers from the owners’ garden (I suspect) and a generous amount of sherry in the decanter as well. Go coorie in at Yetholm in this beautifully curated and perfectly crafted little gem.
