We make it a practice to read reviews about a place as well as the place's own notes/terms/conditions so we knew what to expect, but the place and the hosts pleasantly exceeded our expectations. Our room (Isla Suite) was very charming, comfortable, and relaxing. The place was very quiet. The beds were amazing. We appreciated the bonus drams of whiskey waiting in our room upon check in. The servings of breakfast and dinner were always a lot (we couldn't even finish them) and very tasty. We also appreciated a lot the bathrobes/coats (?) provided which we imagine are really helpful for guests who get cold easily (like us). The location was really convenient also for our travel purpose--i.e., a distillery tour and distillery reserve tasting at Strathisla Distillery. Thank you Nick and Vena for having us!
