A warm welcome from Michelle gave us the perfect start for a perfect stay. Room clean and well equipped. In the morning we had a perfect Scottish breakfast… the haggis was delicious!! Dave served us and made us feel at home at the farm. Breakfast is all local produce and you can taste the freshness and purity. We had s lovely chat with people in the breakfast room. So far.. the highlight of our holiday. We’ll be back😊 Greetings Jakob and Ellen

What a wonderful place to stay. The hosts are the best. Breakfast is excellent. Beds are comfortable. Room was a good size. Close to town to walk in for a feed. Parking available on the street. Hint, don’t park under the tree out front. The birds will make you regret it.

We were delighted, quiet location, lovely ambience, great room, comfortable bed, very clean, we felt very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Fantastic place, we are absolutely in love 🥰 Excellent location - right on the seaside. Room was very clean and comfortable, everything you need is there: hairdryer, shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel, hand wash. Everything for breakfast was in the fridge, and we had breakfast in our room. Breakfast was delicious, we were very surprised by the quantity and variety of food. This hotel is ideal for romantic weekend or holidays. Many thanks to David for his hospitality. We will definitely come back! Paul and Aliyya

Lovely comfortable Room with harbour views and located right on the harbour. The room was clean, comfortable and peaceful. The bed was very comfy.. We had the room at the top. There are stairs to climb but, it was so worth it. We had a window in the room and bathroom for fresh air and lovely views. There is a shared lounge which was well appointed and access to the shared kitchen facilities We appreciated all the breakfast items left for a self service breakfast- cereals, toast, fruit, yoghurts, pastries. We loved our walk to Dunnottar castle and enjoyed exploring the town. Had an exceptional roast at the Tolbooth restaurant We arrived by train and found it easy to walk to the Shorehead Jane met us there and was a friendly and attentive host

This is a wonderful place for some quiet days in the Aberdeenshire countryside. Sheep and birds abound. Comfortable, charming and clean apartments in a recently converted former barn, with nice and responsive hosts. A car is needed to get there and to go around, great sights in Stonehaven/Dunottar, St. Cyrus, and Glenesk are within easy reach.

This is not a modern convenient hotel but it is an adventure, an overnight experience. The castle was derelict when the hosts took it on and they have done a remarkable job, but it is still work in progress, not surprising when large parts of the structure date back to 1370. Our room was charming with a sturdy four poster bed. Internet was fine. The grand tour through the house by Robbie is a must, particularly the great hall is fascinating. The breakfast was very complete.
