Needed a stop over half way through a 2 week holiday and was really happy we found Stoke House. Wonderful hosts, interesting and interested in people and places. Generous in room supplies, delightful breakfast, good size room for 3 people with lovely shower. Quiet hamlet away from main roads. So please we opted for here and not a larger hotel to have a restover.

Alan the host was lovely. His breakfast was superb. Full Englsih, sausages, bacon, fried potatos, mushrooms, egg. Wonderful. Couldn't manage toast!
Very quiet location out in the countryside
Have been to this B&B on a number of occasions. Out of town on the edge of Exmoor, what more could you want Alan is a great host. And on my latest experience would reccomend.
This was a great location from which to explore the West Country. We went West to Tintagel, east to Bristol and south to Exeter. There are also some lovely nearby spots like Tarr Steps. Alan is a great and tireless host. The full English breakfast is huge but lighter options are available. The rooms are a good size, basic but spotlessly clean. It is very very quiet outside. The prices are very very reasonable.
Great location in beautiful countryside. Very quiet spot and comfortable bed so good nights sleep guaranteed. topped off with a great cooked breakfast. Excellent nights stay. Thanks Alan, will certainly be staying again.
Room was very comfortable and clean, with a good sized private bathroom. Private parking available. Lovely sunroom with beautiful views. Excellent breakfast and friendly host. Peaceful location, about 45 mins from Woolacombe etc.
A fabulous B and B in a great location for walking the northern loop of the Tarka Trail. Excellent breakfast provided by Alan.
