Red Barns Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Guisborough

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Red Barns Bed & Breakfast provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi.

Good to return to Red Barns which was once part of my old school. John and Jackie are excellent hosts and have a deep respect for the history of the building and earlier occupants. It has been restored and converted in a sympathetic style and provided very comfortable accommodation, together with a cooked-to-order breakfast. It is well sited for exploration of the North Yorkshire coast and moors.

It was in a great location, close to the town centre where there are plenty of shops and pubs. It was a good size for two people and despite being in the town centre was in a quiet location. Very clean and had everything we required for our stay. The beds were comfy. Parking was easy with a car park across the road. The communication regarding booking, check in and check out was brilliant aswell.

The house was spotless and extremely comfortable with everything needed for a lovely stay, also essentials were provided. The beds were very comfortable. The area is quiet and in a great location for getting to beauty spots, beaches and shops. I'm also very happy that we got all that at a very reasonable price. The hosts were at hand via message or phone option.

It is such a joy when a hotel exceeds your expectations. My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We booked a featured room, dinner bed and breakfast. The room was wonderful. Very comfortable four poster bed, huge windows, very nice bathroom, great shower, second loo. Dinner was very good, breakfast terrific. But what really made the difference was the exceptional staff. They had been very busy with a big group that Sunday, but everyone was charming, smiling and helpful.

Great location for us as we wanted to park the car and leave it there for our 2-night stay. House came with a parking permit so that was very important for us and no problem parking. Shops, restaurants, pubs were walking distance away. The small courtyard garden was a bonus, especially as it was warm and sunny when we stayed. Really comfy king-size bed in the large quiet main bedroom and a big bathroom, toiletries including bubble bath provided! Good communication with the owners.
