It’s a beautiful spot and nice that the cottage is separate from the pub, so nice and quiet. The pub itself is great, with a lovely beer garden, good selection of drinks and nice food.

Historic country pub with great food and lovely rooms , we were in the cottage at the back facing the open countryside with deer roaming about, pheasants and lots of different species of birds . The rooms in the cottage are individual with en suite large bathrooms and private entrances to them . We would definitely stay again , the staff very helpful and welcoming .

Our room was in a very charming old building (an old school house I think) out in the countryside on the Kent / East Sussex border. The room and facilities were excellent as was the breakfast too. The staff at The Dorset Arms were very friendly and helpful too. This is a great place to get away and relax and is a good base to visit the Ashdown Forest or Tunbridge Wells area.

Really lovey old pub with rooms available. We stayed in separate cottage building round the back which was great as it was quiet and had easy access to the car park. We used this as a holiday base to visit nearby castles, walking and the coast. Inside full of old character log fire etc, huge beer garden at the rear. Breakfast (included) was really good. Managers and staff were great, very helpful and efficient. Would definitely stay again.

The place itself was beautifully designed, decorated and furnished. The siting at the top of a hill gave beautiful views and it was very quiet and calming. Idyllic.
