Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of choice. Beautiful, rural location, quiet and peaceful. Kevin and Maggie were charming hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Our en-suite room was spotlessly clean and super comfortable.

Peaceful, quiet, calm, very comfortable. Super comfy bed and all you need in the usual bedroom and en suite set up. The "extra" was having a lovely private sitting room with a log burner fired up by the hosts for me. in the eveing so i could work or relax reading. The locality is good for touring and visiting Rosemoor, the coast and historic sites in N Devon. And i should mention excellent breakfasts and friendly hosts as well.

Oak Cottage is in a great location close to Great Torrington town centre, yet very quiet with lovely countryside views. The kitchen / bathroom is very well equipped with everything you need for your stay and it felt like home from home. The private garden is a real bonus to enjoy in the fine weather. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds.

The farm was up a long private road and took some finding but after a phone call to the owners, we made it. The room, which was separated from the rest of the house by a utility room, was overlooking the garden and was very cool despite the heat of the day. It was also very quiet at night. Breakfast was excellent, with hot food cooked to order and cereals and fruit etc available to help yourself.

The room, was quiet, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was excellent. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and provided just the right amount of attentiveness. The private bathroom was excellent with a magnificent shower. Little Silver is 2 kilometres (a mile and a quarter) to the edge of Torrington where there is a petrol station, (with a Simply M&S). I prefer walking to driving, even so, facilities in the smallish town centre, like the pubs, shops, take-aways and the Plough Arts Centre were easily accessible.
