Could not have asked for a better stay. The service and space was really unparalleled. Margaret was fantastic. They just thought of everything and so many gorgeous small touches. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and will certainly be back next year.

The location of the Cavendish Arms is superb. It's less than a minutes stroll from the main square on a quieter side street. The pub/restaurants decor has old world charm with modern yet traditional colours and (on our visit), a cosy open fire.
The food, drink and service was all excellent but isn't the cheapest around town. We had a wonderful evening meal and the breakfasts were really high quality and there was plenty of choice and all served by helpful and informative staff.
On the shores of Levens Estuary, The Bay Horse Hotel is just 2 miles from Ulverston centre. With cosy log fires and a traditional restaurant, there is also free parking and free Wi-Fi.

For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Very clean. Games room was a bonus and seeing a badger who comes every night was a treat. Very good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit. Comfortable room with chairs and table.
Great location with nice bay windows overlooking the beach.
Traveled by train and less than a ten minute walk from the station
Very quiet for a pub whilst we were there so good nights sleep. We didn’t have a breakfast but had an evening meal. Usual pub grub but very good food and beer.
Staff friendly and helpful
I was upgraded to one of the boutique rooms which was huge! 4 poster bed, chaise longue, and even a bath in the room - I felt like I was in Bridgerton! The room was at the rear of the property so nice and quiet.
Nice gardens to sit out in the evening sunshine with a drink and book!
Breakfast was good - mix of cereal, pastries and hot food served buffet style.
