The horse and panniers guest house., hotel in Empingham

Housed in a historic building, The horse and panniers guest house. Provides accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi in North Luffenham, 41 km from Leicester Railway Station.

Lovely old building in a beautiful Rutland village. Very handy for the local pub. Great host - chatty, welcoming attentive (and makes a great omelette!) The room is very small and a bit dated (and there are some narrow stairs and tight corners to negotiate on the way up to it) but cosy and with a lovely bathroom and shower - all we needed for a one-night stopover on our way to visit family

Lovely room (disabled) and shower, kept immaculately clean. The whole complex has been cleverly and tastefully renovated since the current owners took over 10 years ago. Very convenient for the dining room (breakfast and dinner) with easy ramp access. Owners/staff were very welcoming and friendly. Small pool was well heated for a late September afternoon swim. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Beautiful old farmhouse in a lovely location. Host was welcoming and friendly and made sure our stay was the best possible. Full English breakfast including cereals etc and toast was perfectly cooked and very tasty good quality ingredients.

Great location for a visit to Rutland Water, lovely Stone building, great friendly service, spacious room, ours had a stable door which we had open as weather was lovely, the room was a tad dated but linen and towels very clean, food was excellent value for money, a decent sized portion of fish and chips freshly cooked and piping hot.
