M&M (Martin & Margaret) were wonderful hosts and made me feel very welcome. Martin met me with a (quiet) boo as I opened the front door on arrival. Although they are in the middle of renovations, my room was just wonderful: large room, with large comfortable bed and very large bathroom. I mentioned to Martin that I had wanted to visit The Hidden Village of Galboly but the gate had a 'Private Property sign on it so I didn't go up. He said "Oh most of the properties round ere have tha on their gates. It's ok to go on up. My grandparents lived there and my brother owns it. You might meet the grumpy old man up there. Its only a 5 minute walk" he said with a twinkle in his eye. (He underestimated the 5 mins....it was more like 45 mins and up hill). But what a sight greeted me when I got to the top. The bathroom was big and the shower huge, with strong, hot water. Breakfast (included) was a fully cooked Irish breakfast, but I elected for eggs on toast. Breakfast room was large a well laid out, with fridges full of drinks (for sale), there was tea/coffee etc and milk.
