The Five Bells Inn, hotel in Charing

The Five Bells Inn in Brabourne provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a restaurant and a bar.

The breakfast was fantastic. Sourdough bread with advocado, two poached eggs (perfection) and an option of bacon, smoked salmon or mushrooms. With an amazing hollandaise sauce with honey or mustard, just too wonderful. Worth going to the Five Bells for breakfast alone! Loved the shabby chic of the rooms, and the dining room.

The location was stunning and the room itself was beautifully presented. I was impressed at the Egyptian cotton plush towels and vegan luxury toiletries provided. The pub was a great place to have dinner and the food was delicious.

Beautiful old pub, great beams! The annexe for the rooms was very well designed for privacy, quietness, comfort, and maximum use of space. The menu was varied and interesting, and they catered perfectly for my gluten intolerance. Beers were great too! Breakfast was superb, and again provided gluten free croissants, cereal, toast and sausages. All fab, and so close to the Chunnel too. Would very highly recommend.

At least, and maybe more, our 6th overnight stay here when travelling between UK and Europe. Managed to book our favourite room and found it to be even nicer than I remembered. Really enjoyed our evening meal and a comfortable, quiet night before a very early start. As we couldn't have the included breakfast they kindly made us a picnic bag to take away. All good. We look forward to another visit. Thank you.

We stayed overnight in the annexe suite, with a large living room, bathroom/toilet and private yard. It was quiet and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was pleasant, as was breakfast. There was a field where our dog could exercise.
