Food was excellent. Our room had views of the bay. The water pressure was out of this world - especially coming from California and after a cold wet walkabout on the island. To be honest, we’re not vegan, but we consider ourselves vegan-friendly and the food was superb.

Great location for the ferry terminal and into Brodick. We were able to leave our bags in the morning and they were waiting in our room when we came back to check in. Our room was very large with en suite and the location is very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was very tasty.

Charlotte was a great host; when I had issues with my ferry, she reassured me I'd still be able to check in and got it all set up for me to arrive late! She was also very approachable to ask about Arran generally and cooked a full breakfast for us each morning (much needed pre the long hikes). Room was really charming, with blackout blinds, lovely comfy bed and a nice size and amenities like tea/coffee, desk, mirrors, lots of plug sockets.

For us a good bed and breakfast has a great host, a fantastic breakfast, wonderful location and views and a warm, comfortable room and bed. Belvedere scores highly on all these counts. Allan looked after us superbly, fed us royally and our rooms were comfy and warm. It made for a great stay, thanks.
