The place was very convenient for the train station and also close to the venue my sister was getting married. The price was excellent…. I actually think they should charge more especially after hearing what other guests at the wedding had paid for other places. It was immaculate and felt very cozy and was nice and quiet. Excellent comms from the owner and staff regarding check in. The fact it was a family run place instead of a big name place made it even better and it was clear the owners take great pride in what they offer…. Absolutely faultless and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would happily stay there again. Unfortunately they don’t really have an up to date FB page or many reviews which I seriously don’t understand…. Maybe they are busy enough without it but they should be very proud of what they have and shouting it from the rooftops…. It’s too easy for people to find fault these days and jump on the keyboard, but credit where it’s due. So thank you Maindee Guest house, and also your staff…. Very happy customer and I have no problem giving a big fat 10 out of 10 👌

Location was stunning, Carol and David were attentive and have created a very comfortable environment. The facilities are excellent, it's a lovely house to be in and it's very clean and tidy. We left a pair of glasses behind and David called us to let us know they had them which was very kind and much appreciated.

Breakfast was first rate, everything fresh and good quality. Also the lady who ran the place was very welcoming and helpful, she brought fresh milk and water to our room each day which we really appreciated. Good location for country walking and access to town, about 5 minute walk.

Location and Very clean. Lots of choices for breakfast
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Great location next to the city center. The room has everything you need: iron, extra towels, and toothbrush. If you forget anything, just ask, and they'll provide it. Free parking is available next to the hotel.
The site is tucked away but once you turn the corner it’s like you are in a completely different place. It’s quiet / private and a really beautiful spot. The host Gavin was amazing, we even asked to stay another night which he accommodated straight away.
The site is clean and the facilities are excellent.
Great for couples but also for kids.
Would definitely recommend :-)
The apartment was good 👍 the parking was terrible we got a ticket for parking in the wrong place at the start of our holiday 🙃 not very pleased £70 their was no one to tell us the office was closed where the information was there was nothing in the apartment either not a good start, there was no slip mat in the shower went arse over tit sliding about no handles very dangerous complained to the office someone came with a mat after 2 days, like a current on a rock bun it was that small, other than that not a bad stay cheap very quiet
Victoria House was in a great location close to my work and the room I booked was clean, tidy and comfortable. Darren and Sue were great hosts, very friendly and helpful.
