A fabulous highland gem. There's B&B's, then there's Ardenlea. Catriona and Andrew have a beautiful welcoming, cosy space, the far exceeded our expectations. The space afforded to us as well extra touches in the hospitality pantry were just perfect. Breakfast was outstanding, really set us up for the day. We shall return for sure. Thank you

Lochalsh Hotel with Views to the beautiful Isle of Skye, hotel in Applecross

The Lochalsh Hotel with Views to the beautiful Isle of Skye is located in Kyle of Lochalsh. With mountain and sea views, the property features free parking and free Wi-Fi.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Lochalsh Hotel. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room had great views across to the Isle of Skye and the Skye Bridge. I ate in the hotel - the food was very good. The hotel is very dog friendly. The location is great - right in the heart of Kyle of Lochalsh. The room wasn't modern by any standards, but was clean, comfortable and sizeable. I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel and would definitely return for another visit.

Sanachan, hotel in Applecross

Located in Kishorn in the Highlands region, Sanachan features a garden. With free private parking, the property is 41 km from Eilean Donan Castle and 45 km from Kyle of Lochalsh.

Sue was a great host and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the bathroom looked brand new. On site parking. Only a few doors down from the Kishorn Seafood Bar for evening meals but you'll need to book. Don't confuse with the Sanachan Bunkhouse, it's next door but a totally separate place.

The location is very nice, and the house looks cool between the trees and the mountains, and close to the sea. The Applecross Inn nearby is a good solution for drinks and food. The male receptionist was friendly and helpful! The ensuite shower and toilet had sufficient space. The breakfast is cheap (but you get what you pay for).

The staff were super friendly and enjoyed chatting to them. Lovely quiet location and a nice walk from the doorstep. The kitchen was very well equipped and liked their eco-friendly ethos. Eating out can be expensive and as Applecross is a very small town it is quite limiting for choices, especially if staying a few nights, so the option of pizzas were a great idea.

The staff were lovely but there is nobody actually in the ‘bunkhouse’ at night to see what’s happening.. for us it was like someone was literally moving house between 10.30pm and 1.30am the noise was SO loud it was crazy .. no sleep .. then they want you to strip your own beds?? It’s not cheap for what it is and stripping your own bed to boot .. never though out my world travels have I ever heard of this and to be told when checking in ..I know it’s not hard it’s just weird ..

The location was fantastic. We were a bit sceptical at first as it is a hostel, but we had a private room with an ensuite bathroom. Tucked away in Applecross, only a 5 minute drive to the quaint little town. The staff were so friendly and the check in/check out process was very easy and quick. The freshly baked croissants in the morning were a lovely touch.
