Beautiful home in an even more beautiful rural location but close enough to town that we could easily go in for dinner. Room was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. Bathroom was like a new build and very clean. Breakfast room had a beautiful view and the hot meal was delicious.

The Bear offers eco-friendly accommodation in the centre of Rhayader, Mid Wales. The Bear offers secure storage for cycles.

Each room comes with a flat-screen TV. All rooms include a private bathroom. A TV is offered.

The facilities in the room were excellent as was the breakfast room. All clean and well looked after. I would suggest that the facilities we used had been refurbished to a high standard in the last two or three years, and well looked after since then. Siân, our host, was very cheerful and nothing was too much trouble.

Located in Rhayader, Penralley House is a luxury B&B in a historic Grade II listed building with many original features. It offers en suite accommodation and a large garden with fantastic views towards the Elan Valley. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

Steve was a wonderful host. We so enjoyed talking with him. He obviously works hard to maintain the high quality of every aspect of this lovely B&B. The room was lovely and comfortable, especially the modern bathroom and its great shower. There’s a lovely lawn and gardens in back of this beautiful old house that guests can enjoy. The walk to town and restaurants and cafes was easy. We did the Elan Valley driving tour and discovered and new, to us, stunning area of Wales. We hope to come back some day.

Very nice room. Small but very practical. Everything very clean. Helpful, friendly staff. Good beer and the fish & chips were exceptionally good. The beer tasted very good and the atmosphere in the pub was very good. Sure that evening Wales won against England in rugby. Thanks for the great experience.
