Everything. The hosts, the room, the breakfast, dinner, the location - all perfect. I never slept so well in a hotel before staying at LaHaute Fleurie. It seemed like an ancient building, full of character and with a delightfully classy decoration, which reminded me very much of the house in which I spent most of my childhood.
Their breakfast was delicious, with local produce of the highest quality. They produce their own honey and yogurt, and Marie makes some delicious pastry (she authored a little book of recipes which can be purchased, as well as honey, soaps and candles, all home made). Their drinking water is filtered using the Multipure system, and I felt really good drinking it, so much so that we will install the same system back at home.
Instead of eating out for dinner, we opted to dine in situ, as the hosts offer ready-made packaged foods (in glass containers), prepared by local chef, that can be heated in the microwave provided and eaten at a large "private" dining room. These pre-prepared foods were delicious and excellent value for money. They also supply very good locally produced beers and wines, which we paired with the meals. All very good and reasonably priced. Just inform Loik, the host, and he'll have the table ready for you and your party. Strongly recommended, it saved us money and it tasted better than the meals from many of the restaurants in town. All in all, we had a splendid stay and will most certainly be back for more next year.

As soon as we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Charles and his delightful granddaughter Penelope. Our spacious lodge was cosy and very clean. The bathroom was large, with all the comforts. Right on the seafront, in Hirel, not far from Cancale and its delicious oysters! There are many places to eat on the coastal road.
The morning breakfast (a choice between continental and English), was complete and enough for the hungriest. We had a great time, we hope to be able to return soon. Thank you Charles & Rose!

20 minutes from the ferry station in St Malo. The hostess and her 8 year old daughter were delightful. Although my French is rusty, it was a pleasure to chat. All positive from my side.
Even though I had to leave early to catch the ferry to Jersey (0530), the hostess offered to have some food ready. I declined, but even the fact that she offered was more than can be expected.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
The location was great - in a quiet village with bakeries, pizzerias and a supermarket. The house was renovated recently and is just like the pictures - bright and welcoming. The owners, who live close by, were quick to reply to messages and even brought us some local biscuits. The gite is cosy but spacious enough for six people, with decent-sized bedrooms and a big dining table.
Great, very clean hotel in the heart of Cancale seaside just 10 min drive from the city. Historic design, very nice bathroom (that French limestone!), and a very good Michelen Guide marked restaurant onsite which was a very pleasant surprise. Wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast with awesome hosts! Great breakfast every morning! While enjoying being close to the water and a bit in the country we had quick access to Cancale, St. Malo and Dinard. Just a short walk down the road is a newer restaurant featuring fresh seafood and great wine. One of the best stays during our 5 week trip!
