Novel accommodation at the edge of the Loire. The room was very attractive and furnishings suited the environment, the shower was good and the outside terrace was very pleasant. The bed was extremely comfy with good quality bedding.
The hosts were very welcoming and were very keen to please, giving us lots of local tips and information to fully make the most of this interesting area.
We had a very pleasant stay and, in a daytime temperature of 34 degrees the cave was beautifully refreshing.

Quite charming, dog-friendly grounds, lovely and accommodating family -- we arrived on Easter evening, and they even prepared a meal for us last-minute, amidst trying to enjoy their own family dinner! They sold us a nice bottle of wine they had on-hand too
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Beautiful traditional building, big rooms with high ceilings and traditional furniture.
Great location for old town and Cathedral.
Private parking, friendly host who was very helpful
Lovely breakfast. Good value for money.
La Grande Carree is extremely well located for Tours airport and visiting Tours and the surrounding area, getting into the city is easy on foot or by tram. The house and the owners are charming - they have renovated to create stylish and comfotable accommodation with a very warm welcome and could not have been more helpful. The grounds give space to relax with the added benefit of a heated swimming pool. Breakfast was delicious with a choice of fresh fruit, breads and pastries.
A truly elegant home lovingly and beautifully restored by owners Stephanie and Sophie. The bathrooms are also so tasteful and impeccable. As it was pre season Sophie treated us to some of her incredible cooking. After a day cycling, it was such a luxury to have a swim in the lovely pool. Both she and Stephanie are such generous hosts. Nothing was too much effort and they are both very charming.
