Absolutely delightful. Full of character and where everything worked well. Room design was excellent - rooms are small but feel spacious because of the clever touches. Nice pool and peaceful surroundings. Owners found and sent on my daughters glasses which was hugely appreciated.

6 months before our stay, our hostess Minka was so helpful with booking local restaurants and a brilliant taxi company which were likely to be busy due to it being Circuit des Remparts week in Angouleme. On arrival we were able to park securely and sit down with a few local beers. Over the following two days Minka gave us some more great assistance including stepping up in the face of a medical emergency. She really is a fantastic hostess, both personable and efficient at the same time; it seems nothing is beyond her! The hotel rooms, including a residents' lounge are well presented in a style that matches the building and the wifi works well. A beautiful hotel, very capably run and we will definitely book again if we are travelling that way. Recommended.
