Chambre d'hote Chez Liz, hotel in Mer

Set in Maslives, in a historic building, 4.4 km from Château de Chambord, Chambre d'hote Chez Liz is a bed and breakfast with free bikes and garden.

Liz and Mark were the most welcoming and beautiful hosts, made us feel so very welcome, like family. They went out of their way to cater to our dietary requirements, my husband is gluten and dairy intolerant. The property is just stunning, beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated, you won’t be disappointed. We had our own apartment, gorgeous bedroom with modern ensuite upstairs, comfy bed and quality linen, and spacious lounge area down stairs, leading out to our own private outdoor patio and garden where we enjoyed breakfast. They gave us wonderful tips on places to visit and the property was a short 2 min drive to the famous Chateau Chambord and fabulous Michelin Star Restaurants and the many wineries in the Loire Valley. Liz even offered to do our washing so we could enjoy our days out, unexpected, was just lovely. Berty, their gorgeous, loveble dog, also made us feel welcome and at home. Thank you Mark and Liz for your warm hospitality and opening your beautiful home to us. We came as strangers and left as friends. Much love, Karol and Zoki x

La Billebaude, hotel in Mer

La Billebaude, a property with a garden and a shared lounge, is situated in Mulsans, 15 km from Cathedral of St. Louis of Blois, 15 km from Blois Train Station, as well as 15 km from Blois Castle.

La Billebaude is not a classic hotel, but rather an owner-driven B&B. The object is a re-built former farm a few kilometers from Blois, which can easily be reached by car. The rebuilding was just recently so everything is not just pretty new, but also chosen with high quality and a look for the details. Rooms are decorated in different colors patterns, each with its own style. Reception is very personal with a nice french breakfast.

The gite is lovely, part of a beautifully restored group of stone buildings around a central courtyard in a quiet street of a small town with all the shops you need. The furniture is modern and comfortable, there’s a fully equipped new kitchen, smart TV connected to Molotov, good wifi, two bright nicely decorated double bedrooms and a great shower in the modern bathroom. There’s a terrace off the living room overlooking the courtyard for outdoor dining and aperitifs. Free parking just opposite the gites. It’s great!

Wonderful quirky vintage house with access to owner's kitchen and dining table so could prepare evening meal. 2 bedrooms, one a double, one a single ( not used) upstairs with a small upstairs sitting area. Charming hostess who very happy to make visiting recommendations. Ample breakfast of croissants and bread with lovely home made jams. Amazing tour of garden and contents. Parking outside house. Very close to Chambord. We forgot to ask for WiFi password so didn't use. Our stay will be one of the most memorable.
